Atlantic Standard Recordings is proud to present their first release of music composed and produced by Russian/Canadian recording artist, Deemah. Despite living in Halifax for almost 5 years before discovering the city’s underground DJ culture and electronic music scene, the music he had been producing was instantly finding a home in the sets of any local DJ who heard it. Halifax’s adopted house music wunderkind quickly found his creations described lovingly by many as definitely fitting nicely into the native Halifax sound. This EP is equal parts techno and house. The four tracks that appear on deemah’s debut release for ASR are uncompromising and energetic. These songs evoke all kinds of dancefloor action and conjure up adjectives like wokin’, drivin’, jackin’, stompin’, movin’ and groovin’. The eastern hemisphere meets the east coast on this EP and the results are nothing short of spectacular.
