Soledrifter’s latest for Atlantic Standard Recordings delivers two distinctive house tracks with bounce, but going in two different directions. “My Wandering Eye” takes us deeper and darker, with subtle hints of techno and a funky throb fit for the big room. “Feeling You” brings a groove that rides on a bed of pure west coast bass while simultaneously conjuring california sushine. Happy bells over soothingly bent chords cushions the cool vocal samples perfectly, letting them coax blissful smiles and firm agreement in being unable to stop this feeling.
